Writing Introductions- Source ProjectStep one:
After reviewing your notes and the blog post titled Introductions, re-read your introduction for your source paper . Try and re-write your introduction using a " hook" that can be categorized as one of the following: Direct Quotation, Description, Anecdote or Illustration, Deliberate Contradiction, Statistic or Startling Fact or Idea or a mixture of these methods. Try and steer clear of the common definition or question. Post the first couple of sentences of your new introduction here. Remember that your introduction has two purposes: (1) to attract the reader to your subject and (2) to establish your claim.
Please read one of your classmates responses and comment on their "hook" and how it attracted you as a reader . Use the reply button to comment on your classmates post.
