“So I always ask the question: What would you like to do if money were no object? How would you really enjoy spending your life? Well it’s so amazing as the result of our kind of educational system, crowds of students say ‘Well, we’d like to be painters, we’d like to be poets, we’d like to be writers’ But as everybody knows you can’t earn any money that way! Another person says ‘Well I’d like to live an out-of-door’s life and ride horses.’ I said ‘You wanna teach in a riding school?’
Let’s go through with it. What do you want to do? When we finally got down to something which the individual says he really wants to do I will say to him ‘You do that! And forget the money!’ Because if you say that getting the money is the most important thing you will spend your life completely wasting your time! You’ll be doing things you don’t like doing in order to go on living – that is to go on doing things you don’t like doing! Which is stupid! Better to have a short life that is full of which you like doing then a long life spent in a miserable way. And after all, if you do really like what you are doing – it doesn’t really matter what it is – you can eventually become a master of it. It’s the only way of becoming the master of something, to be really with it. And then you will be able to get a good fee for whatever it is. So don’t worry too much, somebody is interested in everything. Anything you can be interested in, you’ll find others who are.
But it’s absolutely stupid to spend your time doing things you don’t like in order to go on spending things you don’t like, doing things you don’t like and to teach our children to follow the same track. See, what we are doing is we are bringing up children and educating to live the same sort of lifes we are living. In order they may justify themselves and find satisfaction in life by bringing up their children to bring up their children to do the same thing. So it’s all retch and no vomit – it never gets there! And so therefore it’s so important to consider this question:
What do I desire?”

If money were no object I would like to travel and see places I would normally never get the opportunity too. I would enjoy the best food in different countries and explore different cultures. After doing that, I would like to start a family and give them anything they could ever want, spoiling myself as well. I'd enjoy staying home and spending time with my children instead of having to work all the time. This would open more chances for us to do other exciting and unique things, I would most deffinatly not live a boring life, everyday would hold a new adventure.
ReplyDeleteIf I could live my life without having to worry about money I would stay at my two current jobs. Unfortunately while the pay is good for a young lad it is not enough to support a man and his family. If money were no object I would escape to the mountains. I feel that nothing is more liberqting or refreshing than living mountainside. If money was not a deciding factor in my life then it would be a completely different story.
ReplyDeleteIf money was no object I would deffinitley not attend school ever again. I would get married and then move to a Carrabien island and become a stay at home mother. It would be very nice to be able to live worry free with my family and be able to focus on making them happy. There would not be much to stress over and our days would be focused on fun activities and then relaxation.
ReplyDeleteIf money was no object, I would follow my dream of becoming a professional dancer. Dancing has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. As I got older, I had to start making a decision of what profession I wanted to persue. I had thought about becoming a professional dancer, but then when I realized that it is hard to make a living I had to reconsider. Also, if money was no object, I would be able to not have to think about if something is worth buying. My life would be so much easier if I didnt have to think about the repercussions of spending my money.
ReplyDeleteIf money was no object, I would want to travel the world. My dream is to see the world and places that are different than America. I always wanted to see how other people live. I think traveling the world would be a great expierence. I think everyone should get out of America at least once in their life to appriciate how fournate of a country we are. After I traveled the world I would want to work for my older brother's business, I would just be able to live comfortably and not have that much extra money to spend on things like traveling. If money didn't matter I would want to keep his business going and work for him until I had a family of my own. I believe that money shouldn't matter, I think you should do what makes you happy. No one wants to go to a job and be miserable everyday. If you do something you enjoy, that doesn't make that much money you will still be happier in the end.

ReplyDeleteIf the concept of money did not exist then suddenly there is so much more I would want to do with my life. I would love to travel the whole world and expose myself to all the different cultures and languages everywhere. I would want to meet new people from all over the world, and just travel. I would want to have the most spectacular wedding ever, where every single thing would be amazing and beautiful. The best things in life are for free, but the second best things are just as expensive. I wouldn't mind having the best of both worlds.
ReplyDeleteIf money was no object, my desire would be in the fire house. All day long, I could make all the calls, saving property and lives. As a full time firefighter I wouldn't have to worry about any money because I would live at the fire house and our meals would come from people donating food to us. It would be my dream job to live at the fire house, dedicating my life to saving other lives that I never knew before, and not having to worry about any money situations. That's what I would want to do with my life if money was no object.
ReplyDeleteIf money was no object i would be more determine on do in what i want in life instead of what would make me earn more money to live a comfortable. I would travel around and get to know different cultures. Also spend my time playing sports and helping other people that want to get to the next level in that sport. Money not being an object will make life easier and more enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteIf money was no object then i would be a poet because i always enjoyed writing and expressing my feelings threw words. The way poets get there point across is very cool and is very personal to the writer.
ReplyDeleteIf money wasn't an object I'd most likely try new things in life I've never experienced before. If money didn't exist I wouldn't be concerned with material items and probably live a more simple life. It's unfortunate to see some individuals pursue careers only for the monetary aspect. They go on to do a job they dislike just for the money instead of pursuing a career that has meaning to them.
ReplyDeleteIf money wasn't an object I would travel the world and learn every language I possibly could. I would learn the culture and history of each place I traveled to. I would make friends all over the world. I would learn from their beliefs and their lifestyles, I would expand my knowledge. I would like to be able to understand everyone, truly understand everyone. Why they do this and that and try to see things from their point of view. I want to understand how their minds work and what their struggles and victories are. I want to know their morals, I want knowledge.

What would life be if money was not an object?
ReplyDeleteIf money was not an object everyone's lives would be changed forever. Money supports a life. It determines how a life would be spent. If money wasn't considered an object people would do whatever they would please. For instance if a father was nagging their child to go to med school to become a Doctor for the income matter but the son wanted to be a guitar player in a band, the son wouldn't have to listen to the father. Money is not an issue in this case since it is not an object of importance so the son could follow his dreams and live with the salary by being a professional musician. People would be able to finish their bucket lists, we wouldn't be in a depression or recession any longer, there are bigger and better opportunities when money is not an important factor in ones life. Money makes up everything a person lives for. -Victoria Welliver
If money was no object I would travel the world. I would become a photographor taking pictures of all the different places I explored. I would try and become a famous. sharing my experiences with others through my pictuers. I would rather live in a world where we were ablte to spend ur days doing things we enjoyed. I have seen many people live their life wishing that they had done something different. I want to be a famous photographer, but sadly life isn't like that. The world revolves around money.
ReplyDeleteIf money were no object I would spend all day doing whatever I want to do. If I wanted to go to the movies I would or if I wanted to sleep all day I would do that. I wouldn't have to follow any rules or listen to a boss to yell at me for being five minutes late. I'd be free to make my own decisions.
ReplyDeleteIf money was no object, I would dedicate my time to doing things I love such as, snowboarding, or traveling to different states. On the other hand, I would not loose interest in my future career that I intend to be. If money was no object I still would become a nurse and help patients physiologically and physically. On my off time from helping others and making people happy, I would travel and snowboard along with my career that I would enjoy to incorporate myself with. If I had to put my three favorite ideas of fulfillment together, I would show my patients the states and have them enjoy the atmosphere of the soft and bright snow. If money were no object, I would not change a thing I would like to do with my life because I enjoy helping and making people feel great.

If money were no object, everything would be equal and there would not be poor or rich people. Everything would be much easier because money is the major reason why we have so much violence in our society today. But without money we would not able to identify all the objects that have a lot more value to us. With or without money, we would still have many confrontations between us because everyone wants to be powerful. i would drop out of school because there is no point of spending your life studying for something that you would make the same amount of make then you were not in school.
ReplyDeleteIf money was no object, I would not have to worry about finding jobs that pay just enough money to get me by. I would focus on the main job I want to do, in which I would find enjoyable. I would love to go on exotic vacations all around the world. My life would be a lot less stressful if I did not have to worry about money, and I would have plenty of time for myself. I feel that if money was no object many people would stop committing crimes such as stealing and dealing drugs.
ReplyDeleteIf money was not even an object, I would not have any of it to pay my bills. I would still work the job that I would have, but I would not even get paid. However there is one sense of information that I can do to recover it.
